Tanzania National Roads Agency (TANROADS) is vested with the responsibility of maintenance and development of the trunk and regional roads network in Tanzania Mainland. It is also responsible for conducting axle load control operations using weighbridge scales.
TANROADS seeks to hire skilled and competent personnel to fill empty positions on defined employment contracts for the aforementioned road projects in the areas listed below.
Open Positions
1. Residential Engineer, 3 Posts
- Holders of a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or an equivalent qualification from a recognised university. Must be an ERB-registered professional engineer with a current practice certificate. A postgraduate degree in civil engineering will provide an extra benefit.
2. Highway Engineer, 3 Posts
- Must have worked as a highway engineer or in an equivalent position on at least two (2) road and bridge building projects of comparable kind and complexity during the past ten years.
3. Material Engineer, 3 Posts
- Prepare and send a short progress report with updated drainage costs on a daily basis.
4. Topographical Surveyor, 4 Posts
- Must be a Tanzanian citizen with a Bachelor’s Degree or Advanced Diploma in land surveying, geomatics, or a comparable qualification from a recognized institution. Must be an NCPS-registered professional land surveyor. Postgraduate surveying credentials will be advantageous.
5. Works Inspector, Road works, 2 Posts
- Inspect roadworks to confirm conformity with technical standards. Inspect the application of QA/QC processes in the project.
6. ICT Officer
- Holders of Bachelor Degree in one of the following fields: Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Database Administration, Computer Systems Analysis, Computer Systems Security, Network Administration, Web and Multimedia Administration, Computer Applications, Computer Programming or equivalent from a recognized Institutions.
7. Assistant Land Surveyor, 4 Posts
- Must be a Tanzanian citizen with a certificate in land surveying or equivalent from a recognized institution and at least five (3) years of relevant work experience.
8. Materials Technician, 4 Posts
- Must be a Tanzanian citizen with a Full Technician Certificate (FTC) or Diploma in Civil Engineering, or equivalent, from any recognized learning institution/college and at least two (2) years of experience working in a soil/materials lab.
9. CAD Technician, 4 Posts
- They must have a certificate in CAD training.
10. Office Management Secretary, 3 Posts
- Must be a Tanzanian citizen with a Diploma in Secretarial Studies or equivalent certification from a recognized institution and at least two (2) years of relevant work experience.
