(National Examinations Council of Tanzania) is responsible for administering and overseeing national exams for primary, secondary, and some post-secondary education levels in Tanzania. NECTA’s exams include:

1. Primary School Leaving Examination (PSLE) - Conducted for Standard 7 pupils (7th grade), the PSLE determines a student’s eligibility for secondary education.

2. Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (CSEE) - Taken at the end of Form 4 (equivalent to 10th grade), the CSEE is crucial for students aiming to advance to advanced secondary education (Form 5 and Form 6).
