Thomson Safaris Hiring Human Resource and Administration Assistant
Are you a proactive, committed HR professional hoping to have a big effect in a fast-paced business? To join our team in Arusha, Thomson Safaris is looking for a very detail-oriented and structured HR & Administration Assistant. The appointed individual will offer all-encompassing assistance in HR and administrative duties, guaranteeing smooth and productive office operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as a liaison between management and employees, addressing demands, grievances, and staff concerns, and providing decision support
Ensure compliance with labor laws, HR policies, and legal requirements
Assist in recruitment, staff development, training, performance management, appraisals, and attendance tracking
Foster a positive working environment with equal opportunities for all employees.
Maintain employee records and ensure all HR documentation is up-to-date and accurately filed.
Assist in developing and monitoring HR strategies, systems, and procedures.
Assist in payroll processing and handling related inquiries.
Administer staff leave, disciplinary matters, resignations, terminations, and grievances in accordance with Tanzanian labor laws.
Represent the company in negotiations or concerns between management, staff, and trade unions.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and support employee welfare initiatives.
Support the onboarding process for new hires, including preparing induction materials and coordinating orientation sessions.
Ensure compliance with OSHA, WCF, Fire Services, and TBS.
Handle employee inquiries regarding HR policies, procedures, and benefits.
Provide general administrative support, including organizing company events, handling correspondence, filing, data entry, coordinating and scheduling meetings and appointments.
Assist in organizing company events, training sessions, and team-building activities.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in human resources or a related field.
Strong understanding of HR principles, practices, and labor laws in Tanzania.
Excellent organizational, multitasking and time-management skills.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Working Hours:
Monday to Friday: 8:00am to 5:00pm
Saturday: 8:00am to 1:00pm
