What is HESLB?
The Higher Education Students' Loans Board (HESLB) is a government institution in Tanzania established to provide financial assistance to eligible students pursuing higher education at accredited universities and colleges. HESLB offers loans to help cover tuition fees, accommodation, books, research expenses, and other education-related costs, ensuring that financially needy students have access to quality higher education. The Board also manages loan repayment after beneficiaries complete their studies.
The Online Loan Application and Management System (OLAMS) is the official online platform developed by HESLB for processing student loan applications. Through OLAMS, applicants can create an account, submit loan applications, upload required documents, track the status of their applications, receive important notifications, and manage their loan information throughout the application process. The system simplifies and digitizes the entire loan application process, making it faster, more secure, and accessible from anywhere with an internet connection.
